At an Emergency Meeting of the QWA Directors today it was decided, in the light of advice from the UK government about the need for social distancing during the Covid 19 pandemic, to cancel this weeks heritage talk and the 2019 AGM.
I have spoken to Mike Royden, the historian who was booked to talk on "The Siege of Chester in The English Civil War", and he has agreed to a new date, probably Weds 18th November.
The 2019 AGM has already been postponed a few times so the dIrectors have agreed that we will produce a newsletter with all the reports and information that we would have delivered on Wednesday. If you have any issues that you were planning to bring up at the AGM please contact Paula Ellis, QWA Chair for a chat.
Our speakers for April and May will be offered new dates for Autumn 2020 or Spring 2021.
