Deeside and District Local History Society

Based in Shotton, the Deeside and District Local History Society was formed in 2014 from a WEA history class which ended after 20 years.

The Society has monthly talks, summer excursions and workshops for members who wish to delve further into the world of local history. If you want a challenge -writing an article, mastering research skills, conducting an oral history interview or simply listening to informative talks, come and join us!

The Society meets at 7pm on the second Thursday each month in Rivertown Chapel, Chester Road West Shotton.
Membership is £15 per year or £3 per evening. For programme details email: deesidedlhs@gmail.com

A website is not currently available but one is intended, so the Society can share the rich heritage of Deeside. There is much to discover about its people, places, tradition and industry.
