Based in the largest town in Flintshire which for several centuries was renowned for its brick and pottery industries, the Society is dedicated to promoting interest in the past history of the town and Buckley district.
As volunteers, Society members collect all available information, materials and artefacts relating to the town and publish an annual magazine. Several thousand items of interest are also held on computer as part of a Community Multi Media Archive which is invaluable for local research.
Talks for members are held at Hawkesbury Community Centre on the first Friday of the month from September through to May each year.
Membership costs £10 per annum; visitors are welcome to attend talks upon payment of a small entrance fee.
