The Ruthin and District Civic Association was formed in 1988. We are a voluntary organisation which aims to:
- Promote civic pride
- Secure the preservation, protection, development and improvement of features of historical and public interest.
- Act as a local co-ordinating body
- Hold meetings, lectures and exhibitions
We also work to organise the annual Heritage Weekends which have been a huge success since their inception in Ruthin in 2003.
We confer an annual award upon the owners of a building or facility, new or restored, which has enhanced and enriched the environment
We act as a watchdog and raise with the appropriate organisations any issues which affect the quality of the environment—fly-tipping, illegal signs, poor landscaping, parking issues, etc
