This steel headboard was fitted on the locomotive Foxcote Manor No 7822, the first train to arrive in Glyndyfrdwy in April 1992 after 28 years. The Vale of Llangollen Railway opened in 1862 and extended to Barmouth by 1869 but closed in 1964 until reopened by railway enthusiasts in 1988.
