These photographs were taken at Erddig Hall in June 1924 at the ‘Coming of Age’ party of Simon Yorke and many of the maids were hired specially for the occasion. The Yorkes, who owned Erddig for nearly 250 years, kept a detailed record of the servants who worked in the house and on the estate.
