A ‘Festival of Archaeology’

Greenfield Valley Heritage Park is holding a ‘Festival of Archaeology’  during July, including a month long exhibition, ‘100 years of excavations in Flintshire’ subtitled  ‘Swords to Bones’,  plus two other events: A guided tour of Wat’s Dyke, with new information from recent excavations, and the ‘Basingwerk experience’ including a short award winning film.  This is in conjunction with the national Council for British Archaeology event Festival of Archaeology.
We hope to further our amazing Heritage in North East Wales, particularly to the general public, who, so often, our unaware of the treasures on our doorstep. Further information can be found at the websites: http://greenfieldvalley.com/events/ and http://festival.archaeologyuk.org
