Clwydian Range Archaeological Group
Site Tours given by Dr. Ian Brooks with up to date information on the ring cairn and current finds from the site.
OPEN DAY
If you are interested in attending the directions are:
Take the A5104 from Llandegla to Bryneglwys (LL21 9LN).
As you approach Bryneglwys from Llandegla the road goes straight and the speed limit changes from 50 to 40, shortly after the 40mph sign take a slight left hand turn into Bryneglwys past the New Inn. Please note the speed limit through the village is 20mph but the road itself becomes narrow at times and there are no footpaths.
Continue through and out of the village, as you follow the road you will see signs for CRAG directing you into a field for parking. Also someone from the group will be at hand to help. If you carried on along the road it would eventually take you to Carrog.
Access to the site is via a relatively steep walk up through sheep fields which will take roughly 5 – 10 minutes.
However, if necessary a lift up can be arranged for those who may have problems with the walk.
