The Chester and Holyhead Railway

An illustrated talk for the Buckley Society by Philip Lloyd, doors open 7pm for a 7.15pm start.

The line was completed in 1850 and was designed primarily to support British rule in Ireland, connecting London with Dublin but was later instrumental in developing North Wales as a major tourist destination.

Non Members £10 per annum. Visitors £2 at the door.
