    Weekend of Words

    Mold,Flintshire

Join us for the first weekend of Words, a literary festival that celebrates the power and beauty of language. We have a fantastic lineup of speakers and events, including:

Quentin Deakin, a historian and author who will share his insights on Wales in WW2. He challenges the conventional narratives of Welsh and English historians and shows how Wales played a crucial role in resisting the Nazi threat, especially in Flintshire, where Rhydymwyn was a secret site for making weapons and chemicals.

    - David Ebsworth, will be entertaining us with an hour-long performance in which he reveals some of the “stranger than fiction” true stories which inspired his journey as a writer and formed the background to his ten historical novels
including his latest book - Blood Among The Threads: A Wrexham Victorian Mystery

Amy Beashell and Louisa Reid will share their insights and stories about their books and writing. Their books feature female characters who experience challenges, choices and difficult relationships. They will share their insights and experiences on writing, relationships, and survival.

How To Get Published. You've finished your book, but you're not sure how to get it out there. Don't worry, we've got it covered! In this workshop, published authors Caroline Corcoran & Tabitha Lasley will guide you through the steps of getting your work noticed by the people who matter: editors & literary agents.
