A walk through Coed y Gopa Woodland with site manager Becky Good and Woodland Classroom’s James Kendall. Hear about the semi-natural ancient woodland on our site, learn about the nearby Gwrych Castle and what treasures were mined from this limestone hill. Finally follow the path through the ramparts of this age old hillfort to explore iron age artifacts.

Parking is limited, so please park at the following places and board the bus to reach the site in time:
9.30am – Behind the Foryd Car Park, Foryd Rd, Kinmel Bay, Rhyl, LL18 5AY
9.45am – Opposite St Mary’s Church, Towyn, Abergele LL22 9HE
10.00am – Pensarn Beach Car Park, Pensarn, Abergele LL22 7PP
10.15am – Tesco Car Park, Abergele LL22 7AL
Arriving Coed y Gopa for 10.30am start. You will leave the site at 2.30pm to return to your stops before 3.30pm.
